Compliance Manager – GDPR and EU

Job Summary:

Position summary:

This position is for a non-attorney privacy compliance manager based in Dublin This position will  be responsible for overseeing EU compliance activities including drafting and maintaining GDPR regulatory required documents

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• This individual will be responsible for the following GDPR compliance activities:
•Identify and evaluate the company’s EU data processing activities
•Provide advice and instructions on how to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), data inventories and data maps in compliance with GDPR requirements
•Monitor data management procedures and compliance within the EU
•Participate in/support the completion of privacy impact assessments and questionnaires requested by EU customers.
•Respond to Data Subject Access Requests
•Participate in meetings with managers to ensure privacy by design at all levels as required by GDPR
•Maintain records of processing operations
•Ensure Nuance addresses all queries from data subjects within legal timeframes (e.g. delete their information from our databases)
•Liaise with other organisations that process data on Nuance’s behalf
•Draft detailed guides on data protection policies to help facilitate the operationalization of the policies
•Perform audits and determine whether Nuance needs to alter its procedures to comply with regulations
•Offer consultation on how to deal with privacy breaches
•Arrange for training on GDPR compliance for employees
•Follow up with changes in law and issue recommendations to ensure compliance

Education:BA in business, healthcare, or related field. 

Minimum years of work experience:5-10

Required skills:

This position requires strong knowledge of GDPR and responsibilities of a Healthcare Organization related to Privacy.  Responsibilities encompass efficiently tracking and investigating GFPR and EU related privacy matters.  This individual needs to have exceptional time management skills and will work collaborative with cross-function.  Must have experience of regulatory compliance, risk management or audit experience

Preferred skills:

General knowledge of Healthcare Compliance issues, and government regulations.  Project Management skills, attention to detail, team player, self-starter, aptitude for an interest in learning different products.
