Sales Manager, Connected Car

Job Summary:

The Sales Manager, Automotive will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing existing relationships with automotive OEMs, Tier1s and suppliers in North America. Significant experience in software and/or SaaS sales is required, preferably in the automotive infotainment systems and applications space.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing new business relationships and opportunities, taking into consideration new trends and dynamics in the automotive infotainment space.
  • Foster and strengthen relationships with existing customers/key accounts and develop growth opportunities within these accounts.
  • Obtain RFQs and program information and structure technical/commercial/legal proposals with the help of other Nuance departments.
  • Manage all aspects and administration work related to assigned accounts and coordinate stakeholders and activities across various departments within Nuance globally.
  • Forecast and deliver sales against assigned quotas and objectives using pipeline sales cycle management techniques and tools.
  • Report status, activities, forecasts to the global Automotive management team
  • Present and communicate Nuance’s roadmap for Dragon Drive, Automotive Assistant incl. speech, content, service solutions and demonstrate applications in face-to-face customer meetings.

Qualifications

Number of Years of Work Experience: 6+

Required Skills

  • Minimum 6+ years experience in integrated or hosted software solutions Sales with familiarity in at least one of the following fields: automotive, ASR, NLU, navigation, virtual assistants or Artificial Intelligence.
  • A background in automotive with a thorough understanding of automotive infotainment systems and applications is strongly preferred
  • Dynamic individual, must possess strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills
  • Team spirit, hands on mentality, organized and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to work with remote teams and stakeholders in a multi-cultural, global organization located across different time zones
  • Willingness to travel within North America (20%-40%) and occasionally to Europe

Education

  • Successfully completed a university degree in business or computer science.
